The Home of the Champions

Many years the fans of the Spanish football got exalted with the triumphs of the Spanish clubs in Europe. Real Madrid, Valencia, Athletic Bilbao and Atletico Madrid mad extraordinary performances to lift up the level of the Spanish football. With a mix of Spanish players and good footballers from around the world, the Spanish League became one of the hottest Championships in the world. Players such as Puskas, Kruyff, the Brazilian Ronaldo and the Portuguese magician Ronaldo gave a different taste of the Spanish flavor.
Spanish football has always been associated with excellent technical performance. The players that come and play for the Spanish clubs are easy to remember because of the manner they play football, let us called it artistic football. Most of the foreign players in La Liga are from the Latin American countries, the home of the exclusive technical football. The rest of the players are from the nations devoted to a similar soccer, mainly from the Eastern Europe. The Spanish clubs rely on their fans, and the good football is always preferable on the Spanish soccer fields and by the spectators.
The Spanish teams are not famous for their tactical excellence, but few geniuses could turn any match in the right direction. For example Barcelona does not have a center forward, but Messi is capable of winning matches, he is ht engine of the Catalan club. Real Madrid has the Portuguese player Ronaldo, the best and fastest goal scorer in the club`s history. Atletico Madrid has Falcao, another Portuguese prodigy who showed the best of his quality during the Europe Super Cup against Chelsea.
Spain is the mother land of the Champions- native and foreign ones. These players are born to entertain the people at the stadiums. Players, self-devoted to the game and spectacle.

Levante`vs Dreaming Big

Levante is a small and not so popular team from Valencia, Spain. The club was founded in the beginning of the 20th century even before their local rivals from FC Valencia. In the beginning Levante was associated with the working class as their home games were played near the docks of Valencia port. Levante`s biggest success is a semi-final in the Spanish Cup tournament in 1934/35th. The team is not so popular even in the city of Valencia where the admiration among the local fans goes out for FC Valencia.
Levante`s first debut in La Liga was in the 60s and not until last season they were with timid ambitions and financial difficulties. The club`s rising began in the 2010/2011th season. During 2011/2012 season Levante managed to stay on the top of the Spanish football, after recording seven straight wins. The team from city of Valencia managed to finish sixth in the final standings, but this year Levante is dreaming bigger. The team was very intensive player during the transfer window as manager was able to sign players like Martins from Rubin Kazan, Christian Lell from Hertha Berlin, Theofanis Gekas from Samsunspor and Dariusz Dudka from Auxerre. They all were free agents and thus the club did not pay any extra for them.
The team is currently on the 4th position, just 5 points behind champions from Real Madrid. The season started poor but it bettered its performance as the matches went by. One of the most magical moments for the team came with the splendid win against the local rivals- Valencia FC. The Champions League is not so far for the `frogs` and it will be a historical participation for Levante. If you love football you will probably want to see more team like Levante.
